Production-Line Modernization

Improving an existing line by adding stages, replacing equipment or modifying parts of it.

Overview

A plant may need to upgrade its line for different reasons: making a new product, improving the quality of the current one, replacing a worn machine or removing a bottleneck at one stage. Each goal calls for different solutions.

We start by reviewing the existing line and the goal of the upgrade, then discuss the possible changes and their effect on the rest of the line, taking the available space and continuity of production into account.

Examples of upgrade work

  1. Adding a stage

Such as a washing, drying, screening or iodization stage.

  2. Replacing equipment

Replacing a machine that no longer meets the requirement with one suited to the line.

  3. Improving the links between stages

Better conveying and feeding between machines in the line.
