Salt production lines

Industrial Salt Production Lines

Preparing salt for industrial uses to the required specification and grain size.

Overview

Salt is used across many industries, and each use has its own requirements for purity, grain size and moisture. Industrial salt lines therefore vary from project to project even more than table salt lines.

A line may only need grinding, screening and conveying, or it may include washing and drying if the specification requires it. We define the necessary stages with the customer based on the end use and the raw salt available.

General planning considerations

  • The specification required by the end user (purity, grain size, moisture).
  • Storage and loading: bulk or large bags.
  • The nature of the raw salt and whether it needs washing.

Information that helps us review your request

  • The final product you want to make and the raw salt or raw material available.
  • The project location and its current stage: an idea, a study, or an operating plant.
  • Any existing equipment, with photos or drawings of the line if possible.
  • The required capacity, if it is known.
  • The utilities available on site (power, water, space), if known.

You do not need all of this ready. Send what you have and we will discuss the rest with you.

Frequently asked questions

Does industrial salt always need washing and drying?

No. It depends on the quality of the raw salt and the specification of the end use. Some applications only need grinding and screening.

Can one line produce more than one grain size?

Usually several sizes can be separated with suitable screening units; this is defined when the line is designed.
