Salt production lines

Food Salt Production Lines

Equipment and stages for table salt, matched to your target product and project requirements.

Overview

A food salt line turns raw salt into clean, dry table salt with an even grain size, treated with the required additives such as iodine, and packed for the market.

The configuration depends on the raw salt source, the final product (for example fine or coarse salt), the required capacity and the quality requirements the plant works to.

Common stages in food salt lines

  1. Washing

Removing dirt and soluble and suspended impurities.

  2. Brine separation

    Using hydrocyclones and centrifuges.

  3. Drying

    Reducing the residual moisture.

  4. Grinding and screening

    Reaching the required grain size.

  5. Iodization

    Distributing iodine and additives evenly.

  6. Packaging

Packing the product in the required format.

General, illustrative stages: not every line includes all of them, or in this order.

General planning considerations

  • The nature of the raw salt and its impurities affect the washing stages needed.
  • The target grain size determines the need for grinding and the type of screening unit.
  • Quality and food-safety requirements affect the choice of materials and how salt is conveyed.
  • The packaging type and size determine the packing method.

Information that helps us review your request

  • The final product you want to make and the raw salt or raw material available.
  • The project location and its current stage: an idea, a study, or an operating plant.
  • Any existing equipment, with photos or drawings of the line if possible.
  • The required capacity, if it is known.
  • The utilities available on site (power, water, space), if known.

Frequently asked questions

Can we start with part of the line and complete it later?

Many projects can be built in phases, provided the design allows for the later stages from the start. We discuss this according to each project.

Does the line include iodization equipment?

Mixers used to distribute iodine and additives are among the equipment categories we offer; their type and position depend on the line configuration.
