Surface Dryer

Product description
In a fluidized bed dryer, hot air is blown upward through a perforated plate beneath the layer of salt. The air lifts and separates the crystals so that the bed behaves like a fluid and every crystal is surrounded by hot air. This direct contact allows fast and even drying.
In a salt production line, the fluidized bed dryer normally follows the centrifuge: it receives the dewatered salt and reduces its moisture before screening and packaging. It works together with an air heater and a blower, and the exhaust air is usually passed through a dust collector. A cooling section can be added at the outlet so that the salt leaves at a temperature suitable for handling and packing.
