Salt Washing, Drying and Refining: What Is the Difference?
A plain explanation of three core salt processing stages — washing, drying and refining — what each one is for and when…
Industrial blowers that move air through the salt line: drying and cooling air, and the extraction of humid, dusty air.
Capacity, dimensions, materials and power requirements are defined for each project. They depend on the material being processed, the required output, the moisture level and the conditions of the site.
Blowers supply the air on which the drying stage depends. In a fluidized bed dryer the blower pushes air through the heater and up through the salt layer to keep it fluidized, and in a rotary dryer the air flow carries heat through the drum.
Blowers and exhaust fans are also used to draw the humid, dust-laden air out of the dryer and through the dust collector, and to supply cooling air where the salt is cooled before packaging. The air flow and pressure of each blower are matched to the equipment it serves.
Tell us the material to be processed, the required output if it is known, and whether the equipment is for a new line or an existing one. Drawings or photos of the current line help. If some details are not decided yet, our team can discuss them with you.
No. The suitable design depends on the feed material, the required capacity, the moisture level and the site conditions, so the specifications are agreed for each project.
